Please help me give a warm welcome to our new advertising partner, Chesapeake Montessori School!

The Montessori Method of education focuses on developing the “whole child.” Chesapeake Montessori School follows this principle by viewing each child as an individual. Their program is child-centered, thus providing a foundation for the child’s social, emotional, spiritual, physical and academic growth. Children attending CMS are treated with respect by other children and adults.

The teachers are trained facilitators in the classroom. The teacher’s purpose is to set up a developmentally appropriate environment that stimulates a child’s natural desire to learn. Guided by the teacher, each child works through the Montessori curriculum at his or her own optimum level. Children are encouraged to become self-directed and independent within a social context. Chesapeake Montessori School will strive to make these formative years in your child’s life a valuable and positive experience.
Chesapeake Montessori School has two campuses in Chesapeake:

Great Bridge Campus: 516 Albemarle Drive, Suite C, Chesapeake, VA 23323 (757) 410-9474. Great Bridge Programs: Infants (3-18 mos), Toddlers (18 mos – 3 yrs), Children’s House (3-6 yrs)
Grassfield Campus: 2013 Scenic Parkway, Chesapeake, VA 23323 (757) 547-7673. Grassfield Programs: Children’s House (3-6 yrs), Lower Elementary (6-9 yrs), Upper Elementary (9-12yrs)
Come explore this enriching program! Chesapeake Montessori School will host an Open House on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 9:00 am. Families of infants through 6th grade students are invited to attend and learn about Chesapeake Montessori School’s curriculum, tour the campus, and meet staff and faculty members.
