Free Summer Fun at MacArthur Center!

MacArthur Center Kids Club Summer Fun Thursdays are back again in 2025! Don’t miss the FREE series of exciting, family-friendly events with fun for ages 10 and under.

When: From 2 – 4pm, every Thursday from July 3, 2025, through August 14, 2025

Where: MacArthur Center – Game Room Near Center Court 1st Level – 300 Monticello Avenue, Norfolk VA

  • Join us as MacArthur Center’s Kids Club kicks off Summer Fun Thursday with LEGO Open Play Day! Kids will get creative as they build their own LEGO masterpiece based on fun table themes, then share their creations during our LEGO Show & Tell Circle.

  • Get ready for a sound-tastic adventure as Summer Fun Thursday continues with Mad Science: Sounds Like Science! Kids will get tuned-in to learning through exciting, hands-on demonstrations focused on sound—featuring the singing pipe, the surprisingly loud Dinosaur-in-a-Can, and even a kid-created thunderstorm!

  • Let your imagination run wild at our Animal Adventure Parade! Kids will choose or decorate their very own animal mask, then embark on a creative journey that ends with a mini animal parade around Center Court. It’s a wild time you won’t want to miss!

  • Bring the kids and enjoy an afternoon of bubbly excitement, sweet scents, and summertime smiles!  Location: Outside on the 3rd Pad (weather permitting) – Backup Location: 1st Level Game Room (in case of rain)

  • Parent & Me Wooden Toy Workshop – Get ready for a colorful afternoon of creativity! Kids and their grown-ups will paint and decorate pre-made wooden toys together in this fun and interactive workshop. It’s the perfect chance to bond, be creative, and take home a unique keepsake!

• Thursday, August 14, 2025: Superhero Day! Register Here
  • Calling All Superheroes! Suit up and soar into action at Superhero Day! Kids are invited to come dressed in their very own homemade superhero outfits and take part in an afternoon of heroic fun. Activity Highlight: “Design Your Super Identity” Kids will create their own Superhero ID Card, complete with their hero name, powers, and secret mission. Then, they’ll strike a pose at our Superhero Photo Booth and join the Power Parade around Center Court to show off their heroic style!
