STEM Powered Community Day

This Saturday, in celebration of  NASA Langley Research Center‘s Centennial Anniversary, you can enjoy a STEM-focused Community Day with FREE admission to both the Mariners’ Museum and Park and Peninsula Fine Arts Center (Pfac)!

When: Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 10am-4pm

Cost: FREE

Included in the scheduled activities at Pfac: 

  • STEAM ROLLER Printmaking demos by the CNU Art Department
  • NASA’s Centennial Celebration Trailer Exhibit on-site 
  • 3D Printing demos and hands on activities by local artists and makers
  • Printmaking stations
  • Interactive Gallery Tours and Scavenger Hunts
  • Learn about our earth through NASA’s Dynamic Planet
  • Food Trucks on site

Included in the scheduled activities at the Mariners’ Museum & Park:

  • Costumed interpreters will take visitors back to the 19th century and explore what it was like for sailors aboard the USS Monitor.
