2022 Santa Events for Local Families with Special Needs in Hampton Roads

There are many children who want to visit with Santa, but who may be easily overwhelmed by the experience, location, or noise that often accompanies large public events. The following events are designed specifically for Hampton Roads families with special needs. Additions to this free list can be submitted HERE.

Sensitive Santa at Sentara Newtown (Virginia Beach)
Date: Saturday, December 17, 2022 from 9am-1pm. Sunday, December 18, 2022 from 9am-12pm.

Signing Santa (Norfolk)
Date: Saturday, December 17, 2022 from 10am-12pm

Christmas Celebration Sensory Saturday with CHATS (Yorktown)
Date: Saturday, December 17, 2022 from 10am-12pm

Jungle Bell Rock at Virginia Zoo (Norfolk)
Dates: Saturday, December 17, 2022 from 10am-2pm. The first half hour of the event, from 10 am to 10:30 am, will be quiet and sensory-friendly, including a story read by Santa.

Winter Wonderland Family Fun Day at Camp Grom
Date: Saturday, December 17, 2022 from 2-5pm
