Potty Training!

As we get ready to start the potty training process at my house (again), a combination list of products we used and love at our house and suggestions from MAC readers! Thank you to everyone who posted their favorites! Here is the list:

Child Size Potty:

A basic potty: BABYBJÖRN Potty – from Camille “Having two baby Bjorn potties and a built in kids seat in the big toilet lid. That way we were never far from a potty. Buy I think more than anything you need a lot of patience.”

Potty with sound: Fisher-Price Cheer for Me! Potty – from Stephanie “My personal favorite items were the fisher price singing potty. It really made the first few weeks of potty training fun for my son.”

Travel: My Carry Potty -from Charlotte “we love this Potty, it lives in our car and can be brought along to the park, beach, or just for the trip to the store where someone inevitably will have a sudden potty emergency! The seal is tight so be careful when you open it (if there is anything in there!).”

Travel: Potette Plus – from Stephanie H the potette portable potty, and seat cover” and Jessica “Also the portable potty with liner bags. Lifesaver!”

For the Big Potty:

Built In Seat: Built-in Potty Toilet Seat – from Charlotte “I wish we had gotten this earlier! I don’t have to worry about them falling in with this seat, or sliding off the toilet. This finally allowed my daughter to get up on the big potty without searching for the seat topper! Also very easy to clean.”

Moveable Potty Rings: Soft Potty Seat – from Holly “The padded potty seat that goes on the big toilet so she didn’t feel like she was falling in.”

Travel: Folding Potty – from Crystal “The foldable seat to take out-n-about or on road trips to family that didn’t have a seat already…so easy to tuck into a bag & go :)”

Underwear

Disposable: Pull-Ups Training Pants from Charlotte- “Even though we mainly used cloth training pants there are times when we just needed a Pull-Up!”

Cloth: Toddler Pack Panty – from Holly “Also lots and lots of underwear that she got to pick out. We just used regular undies and I agree the training diapers are the same as a regular diapers. Big girl undies were so much better.”

Padded Cloth: Training Pants – from Amanda “I also used the old fashioned super padded potty training underwear. Potty training diapers are still diapers, mine felt like big kids in their big kid underwear.”

Plastic: Waterproof Training Pants – from Stephanie H “I also swear by the old fashion cotton underwear with the plastic liners inside them.”

Accessories

Wipes: Flushable Wipes

For the carseat: PiddlePad from Stephanie B “I love those piddle pads that you can put in their car seat in case of accidents in the car. Then you don’t have to wash the whole car seat!”

For reminders: Potty Time Potty Watch from Megan “Potty watch! Google it they are amazing worked wonders for my two special needs children.”
