National Lighthouse Day (Virginia Beach)

Save the date for National Lighthouse Day, coming up on Monday, August 7, 2023!

Where: Cape Henry Lighthouse 583 Atlantic Ave. Virginia Beach, Virginia 23459

When: Monday, August 7, 2023 from 10am-5pm

Cost: Regular admission rates apply. General admission is $0-$14. There are discounts if you’re a Preservation Virginia member, Military, AAA, a Senior (60+) or a student.

Description:  Monday, August 7, climb the Old and New Cape Henry Lighthouses (a rare opportunity), join the Fort Story Fire Department and Stewie the Seaturtle in participating in crafts and activities and learn more about maritime life from nearby museums. Enjoy some delicious lunch from the Flying Pig Food Truck and lemonade from the Fort Story Girl Scouts. This is an event you won’t want to miss!

Before You Go – Important Details! The site is on an active military base, be sure to click here for details on how to visit. Please note that all climbers must be at least 42″ tall. Adults are not permitted to carry children. Children 15 years old or younger must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
