Webinar 1 – Helping Military Kids Cope with the COVID-19 Pandemic

Description: The COVID-19 outbreak has resulted in unprecedented U.S. public health mitigation efforts, including stay-at-home orders and a shift to distance learning platforms. Dr. Stephen Cozza, Professor of Psychiatry, Uniformed Services University, will describe the fundamentals of disaster mental health, that inform our understanding of the effect of pandemics on our communities. The strengths and unique challenges of military communities, families and children will be highlighted, along with the mitigation efforts that are in place.

Description: This webinar will explore the impact change can have on military-connected teens. We will discuss strategies and resources to help you navigate these changes. Along with change, can come stress. We will share tips to help teens deal with stress and become more resilient to master life’s challenges.
