Kids Cooking with Chef Kalani – Making Flatbread Pizza

Welcome to our Series – Kids Cooking with Chef Kalani!

A Hampton Roads local, Chef Kalani has been cooking since she was 8 years old and can’t wait to share her love of cooking with kids and the MyActiveChild.com community. This Month’s Topic: Fun with Making Flatbread Pizza in under 30 mins!

Before You Cook: Don’t forget the hand washing before and after you are preparing food.

#1 Get your favorite ingredients ready and let’s start preparing. (5 mins)

#2 Choose a sauce and healthy toppings, stove top cook those you prefer sauteed and seasoned. (5 Mins)

In this video, I am using my favorite Pesto Sauce, topped with mushrooms, diced tomatoes, apricots, walnuts, and seasoned nutritional yeast. (Let’s have Fun! You Choose).

Note: Parent supervision when cooking on the stove.

#3 It’s important to keep things clean when cooking. Start with a clean space and clean up any mess you make. (5 Mins)

#4 Place your flatbread in an oven or air fryer.  While it’s in the air fryer make sure and clean up. (5 Mins)

#5 Now let the fun begin…. top your flatbread with all your prepared toppings (once done you can put the flatbread back in the oven/air fryer if you choose. (5 Mins)

#6 Once you plate, and eat don’t forget to comment on social media and let us know how tasty your favorite flatbread pizza turned out.
