Junior Rescue Squad – Virginia Beach

A great (FREE) program for teens from all areas of Hampton Roads to get involved in, the Junior Rescue Squad of Virginia Beach.

When: There is an open house/ meet & greet on August 27, 2023 from 3-5pm. Regular meetings of the Junior Rescue Squad take place on the second and fourth Sundays of each month during the school year (September – June).

Where: Virginia Beach EMS Headquarters, 4160 va beach Blvd. Virginia Beach (next to the Central library)

Cost: Free

Description: Junior rescue is for teens in 9-12th grade. Participants are taught by EMS at a local EMS Station, real emergency medical services skills which are used daily on calls.

Be a part of the Junior Rescue Squad of Virginia Beach. Students from around Hampton Roads are introduced to the exciting world of emergency medicine and pre-hospital care. Experience the life of an EMT firsthand, learn first aid and life savings skills while building your self-confidence, and develop leadership and social skills through unique career experiences and volunteer service opportunities.
