Hampton Junior Commonwealth’s Attorney Program (JCAP) – Applications Now Being Accepted!

Applications are now being accepted for the Hampton Junior Commonwealth’s Attorney Program (JCAP)! This FREE program is open to high school students from local public and private schools.

Description: The Junior Commonwealth’s Attorney Program is a week-long educational program designed for high school students in grades 9-11. It introduces students to the criminal justice system, legal and public safety careers, and the role of a Commonwealth’s Attorney through interactive workshops, field trips, and hands-on activities.

History of the program: This weeklong program provides high school students from local public and private schools with an inside look at the justice system through interactive sessions with working professionals.

Each year, JCAP welcomes students from across Hampton Roads, focusing not only on law and public safety, but also on civic engagement and leadership development.
