July 4, 2014– Independence Day 5k
Location: Mt. Trashmore Family YMCA for the 30th Annual Independence Day 5K and 1/4-Mile Tot Trot – 7:30 am.
Events: 5k and 1/4 Mile Tot Trot
Cost: The 5k run or the walk is $25. The 1/4 Tot Trot is free for ages 3-5.
Benefits: This event benefits others in your community with Child Care, Swim Lessons, Health and Wellness programs, Youth and Teen activities, Senior programs and Summer Camp.
July 19, 2014 – Allen Stone Run Swim Run and 5k
Location: Takes place at Neptune Park at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront 7:30 am.
Events: 5k and Run Swim Run (RSR)
Cost: Entry Fees: RSR:$43 postmarked by 5/1; $48 by 6/1,$53 by 7/1, $58 after 7/1, After 7/18 $60, Active duty military $40 5K: $20 before 5/1, $28 by 6/1, $33 by 7/1, $38 after 7/1, $40 after 7/18, Active duty military $20, 1 Mile Kids Race: $10 by 6/1, $15 by 7/1, $20 after 7/1
Benefits: The event benefits the Navy Seal Foundation and the Virginia Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad.
Additional Information: Team Hoyt 5k and RSR start at 7:40. 5k start at 7:45. RSR start at 8:15, Kid’s 1 mile fun run start at 9:15

Location: Historic Onancock School, 6 College Ave, Onancock, VA 23417at 8:00am.

Benefits: Event benefits the Food Bank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore.
July 26, 2014 – Military Challenge takes place at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex at 8:00am.

Events: 5k Military Style Confidence Course, Kids’ Mini Challenge Course

Military Discount $5 OFF Registration Fee (Active Duty and Dependents)
Benefits: A portion of the proceeds will benefit the USO of Hampton Roads/Central VA.
Additional Information: Civilians are welcome to compete alongside the military and take on obstacles used in military training. Individuals or teams of five may compete.There is also a kid’s obstacle course challenge which takes place at 10:00am. Free parking.
