There is a lot of excitement building over at Virginia MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art) in Virginia Beach!

Do you (or your kids) have the day off from school next Friday, January 27th? Celebrate with MOCA at the unveiling of the new ARTLab in the Butler Gallery! Visitors of all ages can get hands-on with interactive art stations that relate to the current exhibits. Families can enjoy creative exploration in the ARTlab, guided gallery tours of the new exhibitions, scavenger hunts and refreshments. FREE and open to the public!

In addition to ARTLab, MOCA is excited to announce that the Parents Association will be bringing SteveSongs (Mr. Steve, seen weekday mornings on WHRO/PBS) to Virginia Beach for a concert on Sunday, February 5th. The concert will begin at 3pm in the auditorium at MOCA (formerly the Contemporary Art Center). The auditorium seats about 270 people so this will be an up close and personal concert with SteveSongs AND he’s bringing his band!! After the concert, you can meet Mr. Steve and have him sign CDs, books, etc.

Tickets: $12 in advance and $15 at the door (babies under 1 year old are free)
