Virginia Opera - Free Performance

Another FREE local performance from The Virginia Opera!

Where: Reformation Lutheran Church 13100 Warwick Boulevard Newport News, VA 23602

When: Sunday, February 16, 2020 from 4-6pm

Cost: The concert is free and open to the public.  Contributions will be accepted to help support the Concert Series. 

Description: Virginia Opera presents an afternoon concert of beautiful and exciting selections in a musical journey through many different musical traditions, including Broadway, jazz, popular song, the lighter side of opera and spirituals.  Enjoy the talents of five young professional singers, chosen from over 600 in national auditions and brought to Virginia from all around the country to perform in Virginia Opera’s mainstage operas and to tour statewide, sharing their love of music.  This event is partially supported by funding from the Virginia Commission for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts. A reception follows the concert.
