FREE Financial Freedom Classes (Virtual)

These FREE 2021 classes are designed to help individuals and families with financial planning and debt management.

Bank On Hampton Roads is a regional partnership of participating municipalities, banks, credit unions and community organizations, coordinated through the Virginia Beach Department of Human Services, designed to connect unbanked and under-banked families to free or low-cost bank accounts and other resources leading to financial freedom.

Through a series of monthly, two-hour classes, the program will provide attendees the opportunity to learn the skills needed to achieve greater financial freedom and independence.

Participants in the five-month program are expected to attend one virtual class per month and work one-on-one with a personal financial coach. In addition to learning the basics of banking and money management, participants will learn strategies to overcome paycheck-to-paycheck living, reduce debt, increase savings, build a credit score and protect assets.
