Explore with Your Library Card – Free Museum Admission

I am so excited about this program! Local libraries, led by Chesapeake Public Library, are coordinating Explore with Your Library Card – a program to offer FREE admission to a selection of local cultural and historical sites throughout Hampton Roads. All you need is your library card!

Description: This innovative program is more than just free entry—it’s a celebration of literacy, community engagement, and the boundless opportunities for learning and discovery that our libraries offer. By participating, families can deepen their appreciation for the heritage of our region while enjoying memorable outings together.

Mark your calendars for these upcoming Explore with Your Library Card dates:

• March 29: Virginia Air & Space Science Center

• May 10: Historic Endview

• June 14: Virginia War Museum

• July 12: Lee Hall Depot

• August 9: Lee Hall Mansion

• December 7: Great Bridge Battlefield & Waterways Museum

Bonus: Your library card also grants you complimentary access to additional cultural treasures at any time, including the Naval Museum, Hermitage Museum & Gardens, MacArthur Memorial, Isle of Wight County Museum, and Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art.
