UPDATE January 21, 2022:

Eager for the Girl Scout Cookie™ season to arrive? Lace up your sneakers and get ready for the 2022 Cookie Classic Run at the Great Dismal Swamp Trail in Chesapeake! Since 2015, Girl Scout Cookie lovers of all ages have come to this event to participate in cookie-themed races in support of Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast (GSCCC), and this year GSCCC is excited to offer the 8th Cookie Classic Run on January 22, 2022 where fans can come run with the cookies. Register here.

This year, a NEW Girl Scout Cookie has been added—Adventurefuls™, a brownie-inspired cookie with caramel and sea salt. The new cookie will be among the eight offered that include top-selling Thin Mints, Do-Si-Dos, and gluten-free Toffee-tastics.

With a timed one-mile Samoa Stroll, a timed 5K Trefoil Trek, along with a virtual “Do-Si-Don’t Show” option, runners of all abilities can join in supporting the Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast while preparing for their 2022 race season. Avid runner and WAVY-TV 10 Anchor Regina Mobley will be the emcee for the event.

After the race, participants and their families can enjoy the Cookie Classic Run’s Finisher’s Festival with music, Girl Scout Cookie characters, games, treats and more—fun for the whole family. Participants will get to sample cookies, and receive a T-shirt and patch, along with awards for the top 3 finishers in several categories. Plus, everyone will receive a goodie bag filled with valued gifts such as coupons for free Dairy Queen Blizzards.

Now through January 18, 2022, you can register for the 2022 Cookie Classic Run at $25 for the 1 mile option, $35 for the virtual option, and $45 for the 5K option. This is open to the public and is a family-fun event. Don’t delay—past years have sold out before the registration deadline! Plus, participants have the option of picking up their packet and race credentials at a local restaurant where they can enjoy a free adult beverage. Register here.
