Chalk the Walk ARTsplosion 2020

There will be some amazing chalk artwork on display, come down to the Virginia Beach Oceanfront and join in the creative fun on Saturday, July 11, 2020, at Chalk The Walk ARTsplosion! There will be three competitive divisions: Amateur, Professional, and Youth.

Kids ages 12-16 can compete in the youth division and need to register by 12:30pm and complete artwork by 3:30pm to be considered for prizes. It is also recommended that competitors bring their own chalk. No need to register in advance, just show up and register on site.

The theme for this year’s Chalk the Walk is “A Whole New World”.  

In previous years kids ages 11 and under could join in the fun and create artwork in a separate area (not considered in the competition) but there is no mention of a specific spot for younger artists this year.

Where: Virginia Beach Oceanfront between 13th and 17th Streets

When: Saturday, July 11, 2020, from 10am-5pm

Cost: Free! (but you may want to bring your own chalk)
