2026 Celebration In Lights – Preview (Benefit)

The Holiday Light Stroll is back! Join the 2-mile walk through the dazzling Celebration in Lights at Newport News City Park — featuring over 1 million lights! This cherished holiday tradition is a one night only charity event benefiting the Center for Child & Family Services.

Date: Tuesday, November 24, 2026. Rain or shine. There will be two time slots this year.

• Time Slot 1 – Tickets will be 5-7pm. You must be in line by 6:50pm
• Time Slot 2 – Tickets will be for 7:45-8:30pm. You must be in line by 8:20pm

Where: Newport News Park at the intersection of Ft. Eustis Blvd. and Jefferson Ave. in Newport News, VA

Cost: 

• $17.79 per person (includes fees).
• A discounted family 4 pack of admission (must enter together)
• 2026 special VIP Packages (includes a Meet & Greet with Santa and Friends, including the Snow Queen and Snow Princess, and more)

Event Description: The Holiday Light Stroll presented by Langley Federal Credit Union is a charity walk ‘one night only’ through the world famous Newport News Celebration in Lights. It is an event to benefit the programs and services of the Center for Child & Family Services, a local non profit family services organization.

The walk has been happening for over 20 years and since 2014 the Center for Child & Family Services has been organizing the Holiday Light Stroll with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the Center’s programs and services including:

• Domestic violence prevention
• Youth anger management & gang prevention
• Support for youth aging out of foster care
• Job readiness services
• Mental health counseling
• Supervised visitation
• Consumer credit counseling & financial education
• Childcare training and support services

Tickets: All tickets will be electronic and sent to your email / Eventbrite account and will be scanned at the event for entry. Tickets are sold as single tickets, but we do offer a discounted 4 pack of tickets (if you are buying a 4 packet of tickets, everyone must be together when the ticket is scanned), Children 2 and under are free.
