Butterfly Festival & Activities at Norfolk Botanical Garden!

It is butterfly paradise in the Norfolk Botanical Garden and there are many butterfly-related activities to check out this summer!

Butterfly Festival: Norfolk Botanical Garden and the Butterfly Society of Virginia are teaming up on Sunday, June 14, 2026, 10am-4pm for the Annual Butterfly Festival!

Cost: Free with Garden admission (Members and visitors must reserve a timeslot)

Description: The Butterfly Festival is back, Sunday, June 14, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Learn about these spectacular pollinators, and celebrate the opening of the Butterfly House, voted #1 Butterfly House and Best Butterfly Garden in the U.S., second year in a row.

The Garden’s Summer Butterfly House is open to the public from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. This immersive experience features a variety of different native butterflies and moths, as well as offers educational experiences about the life cycle of these crazy-cool critters.
