A Splash of the Arts! Free Summer Fun in Hampton

Free Summer Fun for the kids is BACK for a fourth year in Hampton! Plan for activities and performances in music, art, theater, storytelling, dance and more as a part of the annual A Splash of the Arts!
When: Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 10am – 4pm
Where: The Hampton History Museum 120 Old Hampton Ln, Hampton VA 23669
Cost: FREE! There’s free parking in the garage across the street from the museum.
Description: Hampton City Schools Fine Arts Department presents the FREE event, A Splash of the Arts, in conjunction with Arts for Learning, the Virginia Affiliate of Young Audiences.
School-age children and families can interact with musicians, artists, actors, storytellers, dancers, and more. Each hour has new programming!

Rainbow Puppets-Chessie the Manatee
This fast-paced musical by Arts for Learning’s Rainbow Puppets tells the tale of Chessie, a misguided manatee who found his way into the Chesapeake Bay. Enjoy the giant puppets and the creative look at the marine life off the Virginia coast. - 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM in the 19th Century Gallery
Stephanie Lask Take-Home Poems
