2012 International Children’s Festival- Hampton

I was so impressed by this FREE event last year, I had to make sure you all knew about it! You can follow the fun on their Facebook Page!

The 12th Annual International Children’s Festival will take place at Mill Point Park in Hampton VA on April 21, 2012.

Some of the activities this year:

  • A costumed Parade of Nations.
  • Entertainment on three stages and includes the popular Dragon Head Dance, native folk dancers and musicians.
  • Hilby the Skinny German Juggle Boy, The Mechanical Man, a stilt walker and Cirque performers will provide roaming entertainment in Mill Point Park throughout the day.
  • Passports to Adventure are available for $1 each. Any time a child visits a country, they will have their visas stamped to confirm their interaction with the organizers of that booth. If they visit each country at the festival, the child will then be entered into a special “World Traveler” prize drawing.
  • Vendors will offer (for a fee) exotic and tempting treats from Turkey, The West Indies, Italy, Thailand, the Middle East and more. The designated food court area will remain open until the conclusion of the festival.
