Virginia Children's Chorus - Virginia Beach

An auditioned choir for children ages 6 to 18 in grades 1 through 12. The four choir groups meet during the school year for group choral rehearsals including instruction in sight-reading, rhythms, note reading, diction (including foreign languages), breath support, posture, vocal tone, expression, choral blend, and stage presence.

Rehearsals are held in Norfolk for all four choirs and also in Virginia Beach for the two younger choirs (approx. 1st to 7th grade). The groups perform throughout Hampton Roads in many concerts both solo and with other performing groups, such as The Bay Youth Orchestras. The older students perform with the Virginia Symphony Orchestra and the Virginia Arts Festival. Virginia Children's Chorus is a non-profit arts education organization.
