Youth Entrepreneur Program in Hampton Roads. Dedicated to empowering young entrepreneurs aged 5-17 and nurturing the next generation of business leaders and innovators. Summer program available (Portsmouth and Virginia Beach).

At The Learning Room, our academic coaches are educators and former classroom teachers who understand what’s expected at each grade level and the common reasons why students may not be meeting standards. After evaluating your child’s situation, we develop a personalized plan based on their level, but that plan adjusts as we get to know your child and discover the reasons behind the struggle.

Academic coaching is for any student that isn’t responding to basic tutoring but doesn’t qualify for special assistance from the school. We specialize in reading and math, both for public school students and homeschool students. We also have experience navigating the challenges of schooling for military families.

Holistic Counseling and Consulting Practice for kids, teens, adults and couples. As of June 2024 free mental health services are being offered to military families.

Summer 2024 Camp: Hip-Hop & Wellness Camp through Chesapeake Parks & Recreation (https://anc.apm.activecommunities.com/cityofchesapeake/activity/search/detail/28516)
This camp is focused on physical health, personal growth, functional skill building through art, dance, workshops and love specifically created for children from the ages of seven years old to twelve years old. This camp invests in the nourishment of souls, spirits and space by providing a safe space for these beautiful beings to be seen and be themselves. This is a mixed gendered camp that will challenge the camper to explore various areas of wellness and encourage self-control, effective problem solving, healthy stress management techniques and use of effective communication skills.

The camp will consist of week long programming that involves wellness activities to include stretching, dance, art and more. The camp will function between the hours of 9:00am and 12:00pm. Each camper will begin the week learning a choreographed hip-hop dance that they will build on through out the week and perform for their parents at the end of the week along with being provided a certificate of completion.

VaHomeschoolers is an independent, nonprofit, member-driven statewide organization. We are committed to providing homeschooling support to our members, as well as accurate information about homeschooling to Virginia’s families, school divisions, legislators and policymakers, the media, and the community at large.

The Wonder Years Network is an organization that stands to support young adults with a holistic health and wellness approach. The goal is to provide these services with no fees attached. Offering summer camp to Newport News elementary students.

We are a club that is dedicated to raising awareness and understanding of Deaf culture and ASL to the general public in the Tidewater, Virginia area. Our goal is to provide and promote opportunities for ASL students to improve their language skills in a safe environment by offering skill-building workshops, outreach projects, and social events.

Venturing is an inclusive program through the Boy Scouts of America for males and females aged 14-21 (or 13 and completed the 8th grade). It’s operated through Venturing Crews, units of youth and advisors that meet on set schedules and plan activities and events for youth. Providing programs for young people in Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, and Northeastern North Carolina that build character, leadership and citizenship.

Cub Scouts is a year-round program that offers fun activities that promote character and leadership development. Open to boys and girls in grades K-5.

Cub Scouts BSA is a year-round program that is available to all youth in the fifth grade through high school. Service, community engagement and leadership development are important parts of the program as youth lead their own activities and work their way toward earning Scouting’s highest rank, Eagle Scout. Providing programs for young people in Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, and Northeastern North Carolina that build character, leadership and citizenship.

Sea Scouting is a program of the Boy Scouts of America for young men and women ages 14 to 21. For over 100 years Sea Scouting has promoted better citizenship and improved members’ boating skills through instruction and practice in water safety, boating skills, outdoor, social, service experiences, and knowledge of our maritime heritage.
