The Virginia Autism Project (VAP) is a501(c)3 non-profit organization that focuses on educating, advising and collaborating with the autism community.

Co-op is offered each Friday from 9AM-1PM. Courses are designed to assist the parent in meeting the needs of their children for some of the extras that Homeschool kids often miss. When you’re really working hard to get the math and science into them, occasionally things like PE, art and music take a backseat. The Co-op provides the following courses: PE, Art, Music, Science experiments for the younger kids, and STEM for the older students. There is a Resource Room set up for students in 8th through 12th grades to receive instruction in math and assistance in other subjects.

Virginia Beach Counseling Services has a variety of clinicians, able to provide services on weekdays, weekends and evenings for multiple challenges and issues that people may face. Services are offered to children, adolescents and adults with various needs. Testing and assessment services are tailored to a wide range of psychological and educational challenges. The Fire Cadet program is a hands-on, career-based program offered through the Virginia Beach Fire Department and the Office of Volunteer Resources. The Cadet program is open to young men and women ages 14 (and completed the fourth grade) to 18 years old (in 12th grade) with an interest in learning more about a career in the field of fire and emergency services. The program provides participants with volunteer opportunities, team building, and proper equipment usage.
