TR Sunset Paddle at Kempsville Recreation Center (Virginia Beach)

This paddle is for individuals with disabilities. Welcoming first timers AND experienced kayakers to explore Stumpy Lake at sunset. Participants should be comfortable being on/around water and during the sunset/dark time of night. This special event will be held in collaboration with Parks and Recreation’s Parks, Events and Programs Staff. A trained lifeguard will be on duty as well. Transportation provided from Kempsville Rec Center.
Staff to Participant Ratio: 1:4
Skills Needed: Follows two step directions, manage own behavior with minimal staff intervention, manage personal belongings and able to make simple choices. Participants must have a desire to participate in the event.
Time: 3:45pm-7:30pm
