TR Outdoor Adventure Collaborative Event (Virginia Beach)

This event is for individuals with disabilities.
Join friends from across the region for a morning at the beautiful Lake Smith/Lake Lawson Natural Area. Enjoy hands-on experiences and demonstrations that celebrate the great outdoors—from guided hikes and fishing demonstrations to birdwatching and horticulture activities with Garden Eco Explorers. Come dressed for adventure with comfortable attire and athletic shoes. Participants need to bring a non-microwaveable lunch to have on site during event.
Transportation will be provided from Kempsville Recreation Center to the event site.
Participants must be able to follow familiar two-step directions; require minimal assistance with activities of daily living; manage own behavior with minimal to moderate staff intervention and able to make simple choices. Participants must also have a desire to participate in program. Participants who require 1:1 assistance are welcome with their own assistant/attendant.
