This holiday season, let the kids do the shopping!
Join us at the Virginia Living Museum for a special holiday shopping experience designed just for little gift-givers. Children can choose gifts for the special people in their lives, enjoy the excitement of giving and even wrap their surprises themselves!
And what’s a holiday celebration without Santa? Stick around for a festive storytime with the jolly man himself!
A Holiday Shop Just for Kids!
Our Changing Exhibits Gallery will transform into a special holiday gift shop where children can experience the joy of choosing presents for family and friends.
Here’s how it works:
- Pick Your Presents: Parents and guardians can purchase Otter Bucks in $1, $5 and $10 denominations (plus tax) at the Museum Store.
- Shop Like a Big Kid: Children can bring their shopping lists and Otter Bucks into the holiday shop, where friendly volunteers will help them select gifts within their budgets.
- Wrap Up the Surprise: Once they’ve finished shopping, little gift-givers can decorate gift bags, package their presents and add gift tags, ready to surprise someone special!
Storytime with Santa!
11 AM & 1 PM | Both Days
Take a break from shopping and gather around for a little holiday magic! Santa will share a festive story with children and families.
The books featured during storytime will also be available for purchase in the Museum Store.
Please note: This is a storytime experience only. Individual Santa photos and Christmas wish-list visits will not be offered.
