Swim Clinic: Breaststroke at Great Neck Recreation Center (Virginia Beach)

September 16 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

These clinics are for participants interested in improving their stroke techniques. Participants must be comfortable swimming one length of the pool (25 meters/yards) demonstrating some knowledge of the specified stroke and a rhythmic breathing pattern. Additionally, swimmers must be comfortable swimming in deep water. A Recreation Center Membership or day pass is required for participation.
Freestyle Prerequisite: Demonstrates a good front crawl stroke with rhythmic breaths.Backstroke Prerequisite: Demonstrates a good back crawl on back and face is out of the water.
Breaststroke Prerequisite: Demonstrates some form of frog kick with a pull and breath, kick and glide pattern.
Butterfly Prerequisite: Demonstrates a dolphin kick and simultaneous arm movement.Starts, Turns, and Finishes Prerequisite: Demonstrates some knowledge of all four competitive strokes (freestyle, backstroke, butterfly, and breaststroke).Individual Medley Prerequisite: Please note: This clinic will work on the transition between each stroke in the event. Demonstrates some knowledge of all four competitive strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly).Swim League Prep Prerequisite: Participants must have knowledge of front crawl with rhythmic breathing and back crawl and be comfortable in deep water.
