Rascally Raccoons at Newport News Park Discovery Center (Newport News)

These highly intelligent and resourceful critters can mean two different things to us: woodland wild creatures … or neighborhood troublemakers. Can they be both? The fact is, raccoons use their many skills to help them thrive in both worlds. Please join us as we consider these fascinating animals, their habits and their survival adaptations, and learn the difference between what’s true – and not so true – about nature’s “rascally raccoons”.
Our free educational program ‘Rascally Raccoons’ will take place on Saturday, September 26th at 11 AM and 2 PM at the Discovery Center in Newport News Park.
