Potions Week: A Harry Potter-Inspired Pop-Up at Fishtails (Virginia Beach)

October 26 @ 5:30 pm - November 1 @ 9:00 pm

For one week, Fishtails transforms into a world inspired by the Harry Potter books and films.

The entire restaurant gets the treatment, with immersive décor, little bits of magic tucked throughout the space, a special fall menu, and plenty to discover while you’re here.

October 26–November 1, Fishtails gets its Harry Potter-inspired transformation for Potions Week—with themed food and cocktails, self-guided potion making, shrieking Mandrakes and wand-activated lights.
THE FEAST
Sorting Hat mac ’n’ cheese bites, crab-stuffed Howlers, pretzel snakes and Butterbeer popcorn—a few things taking shape for this year’s menu. There’s a pumpkin spice crêpe cake disguised as a spellbook, too.
The limited-time food menu and new themed cocktails will be available throughout the week.
POTIONS CLASS
This year’s potion book includes Felix Felicis, Amortentia and Elixir of Life.
Our self-guided Potions Class happens right at your table. Each recipe unfolds ingredient by ingredient, with fizzing, bubbling, color-changing mixtures and a little liquid gold. No Snape hovering over your cauldron.
BEYOND THE CAULDRON
Fishtails gets its full Harry Potter-inspired transformation, complete with moving brooms, wand-activated lights and shrieking Mandrakes ready for repotting.
Between potions, there’s Hogwarts Legacy on Nintendo Switch.
Friday and Saturday nights also feature local vendor pop-ups and live music.
WITCH’S BROOM WORKSHOPS — $40
Broom making is on this year’s syllabus. Florals, ribbons, charms and twine turn a decorative witch’s broom into your own take-home creation.
Each 30–40 minute workshop includes all materials and one themed cocktail.
Thursday–Saturday only
6:30 PM · 7:30 PM · 8:30 PM
The Witch’s Broom Workshop is available as an add-on to a Thursday, Friday or Saturday Potions Week reservation through OpenTable, with your workshop time selected when booking.
DINING + RESERVATIONS
Reservations are allotted 90 minutes per table for dinner, potions and exploring the pop-up.
Potions Week reservations and Witch’s Broom Workshop add-ons are available through OpenTable.
Witch’s Broom Workshops run Thursday–Saturday, with live music and local vendors Friday + Saturday nights.
Reservations through OpenTable: $20 deposit per table. Broom workshops are an additional $40 per participant with a workshop add-on.
