Betwixt & Between: Liminal Perspectives explores threshold spaces – the quiet, transitional moments where one state becomes another. Through traditional Asian watercolor techniques applied to East Coast landscapes, Mike Lane captures marshes, creek eddies, dunes meeting the sea, and seasonal shifts.
These liminal environments invite stillness and reflection. Subtle brushwork and balanced composition reveal harmony, complementarity, and the generative tension present in moments of change. Lane’s work encourages viewers to pause, observe, and consider the beauty found within transition.
Opening night coincides with First Friday in the ViBe Creative District, inviting visitors to experience an evening of art and community.
