Join us for a free afternoon of fall fun for the whole family! Hero Kids Foundation is celebrating 12 years of supporting military and first responder families, and we’re marking the occasion by opening Trail of Heroes, the only all-terrain wheelchair trail in Virginia. Come join us on our 20-acre property with our goats, pony, cow, and sheep!
Enjoy animal interactions, face painting, hayrides, lawn games, birdhouse building, bouncy houses, and s’mores around the bonfire. A food truck and drinks will be on site. Bring your picnic blankets and lawn chairs and settle in for the afternoon.
When: Saturday, November 21, 2026, 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Where: Hero Kids Foundation Nature Center, 1474 Copeland Road, Suffolk, VA 23434
Cost: Free and open to the public. Donations are welcome.
