Veterans Day is the day that marks the end of World War I which took effect at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918. As the annual U.S. federal holiday honoring all military veterans who served in the U.S. Armed Forces, our program will cover the day’s history. Additionally, philatelist and retired U.S. Navy lithographer Mark Campbell will guide us through some of the USPS stamps honoring veterans and the military featuring such stamps as the 1968 Airlift to Our Servicemen and the 1995 POW and MIA Never Forgotten stamp.
