Chesapeake Rotary Holly Jolly Jog at Great Bridge Community Church (Chesapeake)

Ever wanted to race your friends, family and neighbors down Battlefield Blvd? Well, the Holly Jolly Jog is back for a 2nd year! A family-friendly, 1 mile fun run and race before the Chesapeake Rotary Christmas Parade will give you the chance to do exactly that. 30 minutes before the start of the Christmas parade, lace up and run, jog, or walk the route – under the lights – and being cheered on by thousands of your Chesapeake friends and family. Add to the festivities with Christmas lights, pjs, ugly sweaters and costumes (no full Santa costumes allowed – there’s only one Santa in the parade). Also, sadly, for safety reasons, no farm animals will be allowed to race this year.
The course will be chip-timed and feature an official USTAF measurement. Runners will be corralled based on anticipated pace/finishing time to ensure competitiveness and opportunity for serious runners to compete to be the inaugural champion of the Holly Jolly Jog.

Race Weekend Schedule:
Friday, December 4th:
Packet Pick Up: 6:00-8:00pm at the Great Bridge/Hickory YMCA on 633 South Battlefield Boulevard.
Saturday December 5th:
Holly Jolly Family Fest at the YMCA: 1:00 – 4:00pm – Food Trucks, meet and greet with Christmas characters, face painting, Christmas Carols and more.
Check in time/place: 5:00pm Great Bridge Community Church – parking lot inbetween church and Apple Tree Day Care.
Race start time/place: 5:30pm – outside of TowneBank, 137 Mount Pleasant Road.
Post race time/place: 6:00pm – Great Bridge Presbyterian Church, 333 Cedar Road.
Parking is available first come first serve at Sonlight Church, 414 S Battlefield Boulevard. Not required to park at Sonlight Church, can park wherever you find it available. Also available at the YMCA, but there is not transportation available for the 1/2 mile from the YMCA to the race start.
The Great Bridge Community Center (212 Holt Dr, Chesapeake) will be open during the parade. (Bathroom, Snacks and Family fun).
