Car Seat Safety Checkup (Virginia Beach)

CHKD, and the Virginia Beach Fire Department have teamed up to make sure that your child is buckled up in a properly installed car seat. Through generous donation from MileOne Autogroup we are able to provide car seats to families who are in need them most. Certified passenger safety technicians from CHKD and VBFD will work closely with parents to educate them on all aspects of their new car seats, including proper installation. Join us at the Virginia Department of Health, WIC Office if you are in need of a car seat or would like to have your child’s car seat installed or checked for safety. Pre-registration is required. Please make an appointment online. During this appointment you will learn how to correctly install your car seat and harness your child. This process takes about 30–45 minutes per seat. Please plan accordingly.
