Join us for a magical, radiant evening on wheels! We’re taking a casual group bike ride from the ERT Headquarters to Helios: the 6th Annual Public Arts Festival hosted by the Barry Art Museum at ODU, and you’re invited!
Witness the transformative power of art in public spaces:
Helios, a piece by artist Luke Jerram, is an inflatable sculpture of the Sun at a scale of 1:200 million, and it will be making its first appearance in North America at this festival! When viewed at night, Helios will be illuminated from within and its surface will appear to be animated by solar storms. The festival serves as a platform for the intersection of art and science, while inviting attendees to engage with innovative projects and enjoy immersive experiences.

📅 Date: Friday, November 6
⏰ Meet-Up: 5:15 PM at ERT Headquarters in Chelsea
🚴♀️ Ride Out: 5:30 PM
📍 Destination: Helios on 43rd Street (FREE public art festival!)
⏰ Optional Return Ride: 7:30 PM back to the ERT Headquarters
Bring your scorching outfit, shining hot accents, or solar themed bike decorations to spread the joy along the way. Whether you’re decked out in solar flares or just ready to roll, everyone’s welcome on this easygoing ride (about 20 minutes).
