Women Can Fly – Free Event for Girls Ages 8+

This is pretty cool. Hampton Roads girls ages 8 and up can sign-up for a FREE flight with Women Can Fly during select events in Hampton Roads. If the online registration is closed you can still show up at the event and sign up on the waiting list for a flight.

About Women Can Fly: Women Can Fly events introduce aviation to girls and women of all ages in Virginia. Events provide a variety of enjoyable experiences, including:

• Aircraft static displays
• Tours of airport facilities and aviation museums
• A free flight in a general aviation aircraft (registration is required!)

By providing information with hands-on experiences and demonstrating the sheer fun of flight, the goal is to encourage participants to fly recreationally, become a private pilot, or pursue a career in aviation. Representatives from the airlines, military, business and recreational aviation will be invited to showcase aviation’s diverse field for career opportunities.
