About Women Can Fly:Â Women Can Fly is a volunteer organization whose mission is to promote women of all ages to fly. We are pilots and aviation enthusiasts who know the exhilaration of flight, the joy of discovering new horizons, the friendships born of shared visions, with the hope that more women will fulfill their dreams by joining us.
At these events per the Women Can Fly website:
- Static Aircraft Display
- Have a closeup look at several types of aircraft and talk to the pilots that fly them. Many of you will be able to sit in planes and learn in a relaxed, quiet environment. The pilots can show you the flight controls and instruments in the plane. This is a good opportunity for those who do not choose to fly or for those who want to learn more before or after they fly.
- Meet and Greet
- Talk with women aviators, student pilots, and professionals who will be happy to discuss their experiences and answer any questions, including how to get started with flight training or learning about career opportunities in aviation. If you want to take it to the next step, learn how you can become a pilot!
- Complimentary Flight (registration required)
- Enjoy a flight in a private airplane with volunteer pilots who would love to share their passion with you!
Note: There will be a mandatory Pre-Flight Briefing every hour starting at 10 AM that you must attend before you take your flight. It will explain the basics of how a plane flies so that you can better understand and appreciate your flight as well as going over some important safety rules.
