Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast

Fall is here! Time for families to get outdoors and Girl Scouts have a perfect place for your trek – Girl Scout camp!

Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast is inviting girls and their families – those who are not currently registered Girl Scouts – to come out for a day of fun while learning all about the Girl Scouts.

What better time to have an outdoor adventure, when days are getting cool and the air is crisp, the leaves are breathtaking and, well, you just have more energy! Get ready to geocache, do some letterboxing and add some archery to your schedule. All the fun things girls do in Girl Scouts. Don’t know the difference between geocaching and letterboxing?

Geocaching employs the use of a GPS device (global positioning device) to find the cache.

Letterboxing uses clues from one location to the next to find the letterbox; sometimes a compass is needed.

Girl Scouts will be offering both during Fall Family Fest Days. And, everyone gets to make a S’more and receive a free S’more patch!

Get to know all about the journey a girl takes when she becomes a Girl Scout, no matter what her age. The program serves girls in K-12 grades. Girls develop their full individual potential; relate to others with increasing understanding, skill, and respect; develop values to guide their actions and provide the foundation for sound decision making; and contribute to the improvement of society through their abilities, leadership skills, and cooperation with others. Whew, a lot, but really important stuff for a girl’s development. Like you, Girl Scouts wants the very best when it comes to serving girls and helping them become girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place.

Cost: These events are FREE but they do require registration.

Sign up for one of the Family Fest Days being offered in November or you can check out their December Winter Wonderland dates that are scheduled for camp locations as well. Face masks and social distancing will be required.
