Santa Flight! See Santa Fly By in his Helicopter!

This is such a great annual event, thank you to everyone at HSC-2 who makes this happen. This is where you can look to the sky and wave as Santa flies by in his helicopter, practicing his gift drops!

Where: In the sky over Hampton Roads (see map for locations!)

When: Saturday, December 6, 2025 from 10am-12pm

Description: Santa swings through Hampton Roads on his way to the North Pole and you can wave to him as he flies by your location and practices his gift drops! See the map and times below, I’m certain they are subject to change but will give you a rough idea of his schedule (Santa has a lot going on this time of year).

  • 10am – Takeoff from Naval Station Norfolk
  • 10:05am – Patrick Henry Mall, Newport News
  • 10:15am – Riverpointe Shopping Center, Hampton
  • 10:20am – Bolling Ave, Norfolk
  • 10:25am – Town Point Park, Norfolk
  • 10:35am –  Mount Trashmore, Virginia Beach
  • 10:45am – Cox High School, Virginia Beach
  • 10:55am – Lesner Bridge, Virginia Beach
  • 11:05am – Fort Story Base Housing, Virginia Beach
  • 11:15am – King Neptune Statue, VB Oceanfront
  • 11:20am – Princess Anne Woods, Virginia Beach
  • 11:30am – Greenbrier Mall, Chesapeake
  • 11:40am Columbia Park, Portsmouth
  • 11:50am Walmart Supercenter, Suffolk
  • 12pm off to the North Pole!
