Patriots Day at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Museum

Coming up this weekend, FREE historical fun at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Museum! Come out for activities as a part of the event Patriot’s Day: Commemorating The Great Wars.

Description: Learn about life on the home front in World War I and II Portsmouth. “Enlist” in the Navy, learn about sailors and soldiers through the two wars by local living history groups such as Jim Callear, become a “jam buster,” and listen to music by the 504 Supreme band throughout the afternoon! Bring your WWI and WWII era documents to be scanned as the Profiles of Honor Tour joins us, sponsored by the Virginia WWI 100th and WWII 75th Anniversary Commission.
