2025 National Carousel Day – FREE Rides!

Celebrate National Carousel Day! Join us for the unveiling of a bejeweled carousel horse made entirely out of semi-precious stones by members of the community during the Hampton Mosaic Festival in April. Led by Hampton artist Msesippi and dozens of volunteers with countless stones from U-Rock, this beautiful work of art will now be part of the joy of the Hampton Carousel experience.

Enjoy free rides on the historic Hampton Carousel from 11 am-1 pm. Popcorn and cotton candy will be available for purchase, and face painting by Modest Artist.

Where: Carousel Park & Hampton Carousel 602 Settlers Landing Rd. Hampton, VA 23669

When:  July 25, 2025 from 11am – 1pm

Cost: FREE

Description: Take a spin back in time—on us! Experience the nostalgic thrill of a ride on the historic 1920 carousel from the much-beloved Buckroe Beach Amusement Park. Restored to her its splendor, this twirling work of art is a tribute to its creators. Join generations of riders who made life-long memories on this mechanical treasure of Hampton’s history.
