Independent Wellness Summit 2020

Military and First Responder Spouses, this great FREE online event is back again in 2020 and I wanted to be sure to share it with you!

The life of a Military Family can be stressful... deployments, new orders, another PCS, new schools, new housing, new doctors, having to find your new support system and list people you just met as emergency contacts (anyone else?) not to mention figuring out what there is to DO in a new location - hopefully MyActiveChild.com helps with that in Hampton Roads!

With all of the things we military spouses have on our minds and hearts, it can be hard to keep perspective and to remember how important it is to take the time to invest in ourselves. If we aren't caring for ourselves, it makes it so much harder to care for others who rely on us.

Self-care is certainly something I struggle with and am working on in 2020. This year my focus is on CALM, and for me that means showing up to the quiet moments (whenever I can) to allow for more mindfulness, clarity, and inner peace no matter how crazy the day to day may be. Finding that calm within is one way that I try and balance all the STUFF that needs to be done each day.

For the fourth time, InDependent and Corie Weathers, and the USO have partnered to bring you 10 interviews with top experts to feed your dimensions of strength. Strengths in: intimacy, adventure, transition, creativity, rest, connection, health, affirmations, productivity, and more! I am thrilled to again be a Military Spouse Ambassador for this event: Independent Wellness Summit - Dimensions of Strength.
