Summer 2025 – Blue Star Museums in Hampton Roads

Blue Star Museums

The Blue Star Museums program is back for Summer 2025!

Blue Star Museums is a collaboration of the National Endowment of the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and over 2,000 museums throughout the United States.

This program allows military personnel and their families to visit participating museums for FREE from late May through Labor Day. This year the program begins May 17, 2025.

Participating local Hampton Roads area museums currently include (there will be additional museum locations added throughout the summer): 

Hampton

  • Hampton History Museum

Norfolk

  • Chrysler Museum of Art

Portsmouth

  • Lightship Portsmouth Museum
  • Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Museum

Virginia Beach

  • Virginia MOCA

Williamsburg

  • Art Museums of Colonial Williamsburg
