Youth Artists Competition - Hampton Roads Philharmonic

What an amazing opportunity for young musicians! This competition is open to instrumentalists up to age 21.

Where: The American Theatre, 125 E Mellen St, Hampton VA

Description: In order to foster musical talent in our community and to give young musicians the valuable opportunity to perform as a soloist with an orchestra, the Hampton Roads Philharmonic is opening a portion of its season to feature a young soloist.  Decided by an adjudicated competition, the winner will perform with the Hampton Roads Philharmonic as a featured soloist in its sixth annual Young Artist Competition Showcase performance in March 2023  This competition is open to instrumentalists up to age 21.

When:

  • The deadline to enter is October 31, 2022
  • The competition is November 6, 2022
  • The performance is March 12, 2023
