Become a Girl Scout of the Colonial Coast

Are you a parent that wants to get your child involved in volunteering, but don’t know where to begin? Finding volunteer opportunities for youth can be challenging due to age restrictions. Oftentimes, it is easier to find volunteer opportunities at a young age if the child is involved in a group or organization that participates together and creates service opportunities. One example of such organizations is the Girl Scout Council of the Colonial Coast.

Whether from participation as a child, or eating some of those delicious cookies, the Girl Scout name is one that you have probably heard before. The Girl Scouts offer many levels of participation from attending one day events to being a full-fledged troop member. Children can begin participation in Kindergarten with Daisies and can progress until the 12th grade to be a Girl Scout Ambassador.

The Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast offers year-round service projects to various nonprofit organizations in Hampton Roads including Operation Homefront, REACH (Reading Enriches All Children, Equi-Kids, and the Samaritan House. See the full listing of community service projects HERE.
