Black Friday has always been “the day” to get the “best deals” on toys. If you missed out on this event you may be wondering, “Now what? How will I save on the gifts for my kids this year?”

Have no fear! With the economy the way it is, consumers are not the only ones worried about budget this year. Stores are having a variety of other big sales that will continue until Christmas. In fact, in past years you can snag the best deals on TV’s 2 weeks before Christmas. Even better news is that store giants like Walmart really slash toy prices about 3 weeks before Christmas (that’s THIS week)! They want to get rid of toys and games inventory before the New Year when they start selling exercise equipment. Plus Target will be having a BOGO half off toy sale this week from December 4-December 10!

When shopping online, be sure to comparison shop by adding items to your “shopping cart” and then visiting other sites before actually checking out. Don’t forget to pick up items in store to avoid shipping charges whenever possible!

After you buy the gifts, don’t forget to be creative wrapping them by using handmade gift wrap or comic strips from the newspaper!
