Heroes and Legends from Rainbow Puppets

This weekend at the Hampton History Museum, come out to enjoy an original musical from Rainbow Puppets, “Virginia Heroes and Legends” and also take advantage of FREE admission to the museum!

Where: Hampton History Museum, 120 Old Hampton Lane, Hampton VA

When: Rainbow Puppets performance, Saturday, December 3, 2022 from 11am-12 pm. Enjoy Free Admission to the museum all day.

Description: Meet some of Virginia’s most amazing residents in Rainbow Puppet’s first public presentation of their all-new “Virginia Heroes and Legends.”  This fast-paced production highlights some of the people who have enriched Virginia over the years—including some Peninsula notables! Meet Pocahontas, Virginia’s first ambassador to England.  You’ll hear about Newport News’ own Ella Fitzgerald, who became the “Queen of Jazz.”  See star of stage and screen, Bill “Bojangles” Robinson dance once more. Greet first president, George Washington, as well as Hampton Institute educator and Civil Rights icon Booker T. Washington, among others. “Heroes and Legends” covers the facts and myths surrounding these famous Virginians.

Each child will get a free book from Rainbow Puppets, and the first 50 children will receive an heirloom ornament-making kit from the museum.
