Eagle Fest at Norfolk Botanical Garden!

We are eagle lovers in my house. Last year my daughter and I watched the Eagle Cam with delight and heard the tragic news of Mama Eagle’s death with heavy hearts.

For those who have been watching the new eagle family structure this year there haven’t been many dull moments as 4 different female eagles vie for the attention of the male!

This weekend the Norfolk Botanical Garden is celebrating the eagles who make their home in the Garden with Eagle Fest!

Eagle Fest will take place Saturday, May 5 2012 from 10am-4pm and is free with Norfolk Botanical Garden admission. Admission is $9 for Adults, $8 for seniors and military, $7 for ages 3-17, 2 and under are free.

At the festival there will be:

  • Live animal demonstrations including Buddy the Eagle!
  • Activities for children
  • Arts and crafts
  • Local organizations
  • Birding information and supplies
  • Opportunity to learn about the eagles and their habitats
  • Music & food
  • Contests & door prizes

Bring your cameras and all your eagle questions to ask the experts in this rare chance to learn all about the eagles up close and personal!
