When: Saturday, August 16, 2014 from 9am-4pm

Where: Virginia Living Museum 524 J Clyde Morris Blvd, Newport News, VA 23601

Description: What were the dinosaurs? How big were they? When did they live and why did they die off? (or did they?) Touch real dinosaur fossils, talk with Museum scientists and meet a live critter that may just be a dinosaur descendant. Enjoy dino crafts and activities on this special day that’s all about our favorite fearsome fossils – the dinosaurs!

Dr. Gerald Johnson, geology professor emeritus at the College of William and Mary, will talk about Tidewater fossils at 2:30pm. The talk is included in admission, but visitors should obtain a ticket at the Admissions Desk because seating is limited. Recommended for age 7 and above.
