Date Night Idea: Farm to Table Cooking Class 

 

Where: New Earth Farm 1885 Indian River Rd, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23456

When: Saturday, January 19, 2019 from 6-8pm

Cost: $140 per couple. More info & registration here.

Description: Looking for a unique way to spend a date night? Surprise your sweetie with a cooking class. Part demo, part hands-on, this class is a unique way to explore amazing local food! Delicious, authentic and approachable, this meal will offer you the opportunity to learn new skills and experience local, in-season cooking. Your instructor, Jenny Tremblay will lead you through preparing 5 different recipes. End the evening with a beautiful meal you helped prepare!

ON THE MENU: 

Mixed greens with Roasted Beets, grapefruit segments and candied pecans dressed with a citrus vinaigrette.
Spiced Carrot Soup with lemony yogurt
Seared dry rubbed steak with rosemary and roasted garlic compound butter
Fried turnips and greens with farro
Apple Galette with ice cream or whipped cream
